老美也拼车

就是某人有车,在住的附近招揽若干人,大家同坐一辆车,分享费用。国内不是还有某些政府部门说这是一种变相的出租车营运,应该坚决打击吗。 The following from Pogue

Robin Chase announced a new initiative called GoLoco, which is a great name for a great idea: Internet-brokered ride sharing.

According to Chase, 75 percent of all cars on the road have only a
single occupant. That number sounds low to me, but you get the point:
that’s a lot of road congestion, parking hell, pollution and oil
dependence.

GoLoco will harness the Internet to match passengers with willing
drivers—a massive carpool database where the passengers will pay the
drivers a little something, so everybody feels like they’re getting
something out of the deal. Like Zipcar, this is another impressive
attempt to get cars off the road and simultaneously benefit all
participants economically.
